Don’t feel bad for Meato’s tortured soul. If you browse the Meato tag, you’ll see what a lazy contended shit she is: http://littlefroggies.tumblr.com/tagged/meato
August 2012
I mentioned this on twitter before but I figure it’s worth mentioning here: I have goals to move to either the east coast (Portland-area is totally Bro-Town) or New England (Mass. would be cool, also bro-central), and it’s where all the money I save is going(after car shit’s resolved, geebus). Hopefully after year ends. I’m keeping my ears perked between now and end of year for any room or roomie opportunities and the only reason I’m posting this is in case anyone hears of something and if they could keep me in mind, since I got a lotta friends scattered all over the map!
I’m pretty rad #-w-# Just sayin’. Come prepackaged with one Meato. Dunno how anyone could pass that up.
(don’t reblog this, I’m not desperately looking for any rooming opportunity, this is more a heads up for people I’m already friends with to keep me in mind, this is not a big deal at all, I’m just keeping my options open)
I’ve already been in contact with companies I was recommended by friends/colleagues (and told no by one so far), but if anyone else has experience with or knowledge of this had some advice, that’d be great.
For a lot of ink drawings I intend to color I’ve stopped editing lineart to be pure crisp black-and-white before editing and have been leaving in the paper grain and tonal variations, with a lot of imperfection and bleed left in, and I did that with the last commission. I dunno if it makes a difference to anyone but me, but I’m really liking how it makes my colored work look.
example of what I mean (without texture layers)

;^; I had to cancel and I regret it every day.
I really, really hate asking for reblogs or retweets or signal boosts, which is why you’ll rarely see me do it. It feels like begging. But y’all are super sweethearts. Thank you to everyone who reblogged that, that act alone means a lot to me.
INTRO:
My car is in the shop again and needs repairs, and I completely rely on my car, and just got it fixed after a minor accident. I do not have enough money in savings to cover this and this is going to affect me very negatively until I can get my car back.

And normally I’d never even suggest it because it feels like begging and it’s embarrassing, but I do have donation buttons on my blog and website. I’m gonna forget I even mentioned it now and proceed with the rest of this post.
MORE INFO:
The only way I can do this and finish current commissions and new commissions is to stop working on Love Me Nice until this gets resolved, because unfortunately Love Me Nice right now is the thing I don’t get compensated for working on — it’s basically a hobby right now. This has come at a really inopportune time, when I’m working on things that are gonna compensate me LATER (like a kickstarter), but not in the short term, so I’m in a very tight spot.
So I am taking as many commissions as I can right now, but because of time constraints I just can’t offer the promotional $60/$30 for color and inks anymore, it would be more work than would be helpful to intentionally undercharge again. If you already commissioned me but haven’t paid yet, your rate stays the same.
If you’ve already commissioned me, your commissions are still top priority. Otherwise the order is by who pays first.
This is one of the few times I’ll actually ask for reblogs, if y’all could be so kind.
Thank you!
So many people love that WIP kirin monster girl that I worry y’all won’t like the finished inked/color version as much… PRESSURE
Well I wouldn’t even be considering a book if I hadn’t already talked to.Josh Lesnick, who’s in charge, about it first. And Josh says we retain our printing rights and multiple artists there print their own work to sell online and/or at conventions. This is likely due to how hard a Slipshine collection or organizing books for all storylines (that’s a lot of artists) would be, so its easier for us to.handle it individually.
I ain’t gonna lie, Slipshine is a great gig and Josh pays us well and I enjoy being able to draw as many comics as I do because of it, so I’m always gonna pimp it for more subscriptions because that’s what makes it possible.
I dunno what is standard, but whenever I’ve printed Slipshine work of mine I put an ad for the site in it.
theboywholosthismind said: Why did you tag the other one as “nsfw,” but not this one?? >_>
Because I legit forgot?
I’ve wanted a septum piercing for a long time, but my only qualm is the fact I have a deviated septum. I’m pretty much ready, and have recieved some advice, but before I decide to make the investment of money and healing time, I was curious if anyone had experience with this.
Here’s photos of what I’m talking about:

My nose leans to one side and the cartilage almost bows in opposite direction of the lean, like it’s under stress or something. You can even see how my glasses won’t sit straight. I have minor breathing/drainage problems, and I’m just hoping I can have a septum piercing without it looking crooked too.
