Every day I’ve not been commissioned to draw a Homestuck, I feel as though I have horribly misjudged tumblr. I didn’t give you enough credit, honey.
Here’s a better scan on the slime girl. I gave the Original to Brandon Graham since no one wanted to buy it. I haven’t scanned any of my real media work in ages, so it felt weird editing this a little. Maybe I’ll get a societysix account and sell some prints of it.
I loved coloring this. I was in a funk because I didn’t have my good inking pens and wasn’t up to battling with my crap pens to ink stuff, Oven’s was gonna color it but then sorta gave up and dropped it to the floor… so I creeped a hand up… and snatched it… and colored it…
I’m so glad she got a good scan of this and I hope she sells prints this was so fun I wanna marker all of Lin’s inks

When I use dickblick.com, I usually get it on time or EARLIER. Maybe next time you can use them?
Dick Blick doesn’t have any of the supplies that I basically rely on Jetpens for. For all my grumpin’, Jetpens is pretty rad. I’ve heard good things about Dick Blick too, just the only thing they sell that I use is paper and markers.

I’m getting all weird and proud flipping through this Titty Time book proof. I’ve only been making comics for 3 years, and Love Me Nice and Titty Time are my first comics ever aside from a 25-page story for a creative writing course. I am all proud of myself, considering how right before I started drawing Love Me Nice my spirits and optimism about being able to make comics was low to the point of depression, mostly over not being able to afford art school.
But I’m flipping through this, admittedly flawed, comic book I drew and patting myself on my stupid back and feeling stupid and proud. I’m all big headed right now, I’m sorry. I’m just incredibly proud that I got over my “weh poor me” party and got my ass in gear.

AN UPDATE for Save Arnie!
First of all, wow. I could probably just leave it at that - wow - because it really encompasses everything. The outpouring of support! The SPEED at which you guys spread the message, the depth of generosity… I don’t mean to sound cheesy, but I really do feel this way about it, this is so much more than I expected, and I can’t thank everyone enough for their efforts and selflessness.
I took about an hour and a half off today to go speak with some doctors and see Arnold at the vet care place he was being held:
He is under heavy sedation. We originally weren’t even supposed to go in and see him, since having people around gets him overexcited, and starts the labored breathing. Apparently one of the vet techs had to keep her distance since even speaking to him gave him the urge to want to cuddle closer and share some affection, and it caused a burden on his breathing. So… you know, I wasn’t kidding about this dog being friendly. He’s an unquenchable sweetheart, even at risk to his own health.
They need all of the money up front, at this particular center. We are scheduled to meet with a surgeon on Monday morning and talk about our options. Needing everything up front makes this really difficult, and as has been recommended to me, I’m going to shop around. I was also recommended to CareCredit, which seems pretty close to getting a loan for healthcare, and certainly may be viable if we can get approved.
Right now, he is home until we take him back in for the consultation! He has been given acepromazine and hydrocodone. Have a far cheerier picture of him drooling all over the car on the way home:
