So when would address changes be due? I, uh, am not exactly sure where I will be living in a month. Which is stressful by itself in its own way. Is the $35 level backer book going to be going out in the first wave, or does that count as a "commission" and will take extra time?

Been getting asks/messages about whether or not I’ll critique comics or not and, sadly I just don’t have the time. If you want me to like, red line some art, yeah I can do that fast. I red line art hella fast.

But a thoughtful and helpful critique? That’d take a whole evening to do it right and it’s not something I like to half-ass. So I’m not, at the moment, up for people sending me links to their work or comics to ask for my thoughts — especially if it’s a comic I’ll have to devote the evening to reading. I hope that doesn’t make me sound like a jerk, I just know that I can’t give a bunch of comics enough attention to actually give useful help.

In short: Red lines: yes. Comic critiques: no. Sorry!

Amanda Lafrenails is one of my favorite artists. She draws the fantastic comic Love Me Nice as well as NSFW comics. She also did the tone/shading in the first Adventure Time original graphic novel. I have found it difficult to not say the first thing that comes to my mind when people ask what else she does.

Mewtwo. Only because of it’s weird ball-fingers. It’s like Mewtwo has claws but he wouldn’t stop clawing at itself and scratching its corneas so the scientists stuck tennis balls to the ends of its fingers.

But that’s about it I don’t think I have a least favorite.

I’m going to a Texas con that encourages plastic wrapping “obscene materials” so I had a go at wrapping my mock up book in cling/saran wrap and sealing it with a hair dryer.

It ain’t perfect but it does the job. It’s a bit wrinkly but it holds and I threw the book (don’t worry, like I said, a mockup) across the room and at a wall and tumbled it around and the plastic didn’t tear or budge. Though it peels off pretty easy.

This is why I was googling cling wrap earlier.
