This week: $30 5x7 Marker Commissions
Due to a lot of interest and messages about whether/when I’ll do more commissions, and the money pit that is convention season, I’m temporarily accepting commissions. To keep my workload from getting too complicated, I’ve made things quite simple — right now, I’m only offering 5x7 marker illustrations for $30 (max 2 characters, add $10 for more than 2 characters).
Will be mailed to you — shipping free in the US, please add shipping for international commissions.
Commissions will be drawn by order of payment to paypal: mandiiv@gmail.com. Please send an email to the same address with commissions details.
I will be accepting commissions for this week (last day Sunday March 24th) or until I reach 10, whichever comes first. When finished I may open up for another round, but I may not. Depends on work load.
Feel free to ask questions.
One of my commissioners made the unfortunate mistake to tell me I could take my time with it, since I’m so busy. And I did just that. So I upgraded his commissions to a marker one and did it one watercolor paper and even bought more green markers just to make this as awesome and pretty as I could.
Next Week: Open for $30 5x7 Marker Commissions
Yep. Enough people have been asking about marker commissions that I’ve decided that next week, when I have a window to do it, I’m gonna accept some commissions as a convention-season-fund buffer. They will be limited, and I gotta finish/scan two commissions on my plate currently.
This is just a heads up, since people send me messages about missing my last commission round or asking when I’ll start taking them again. More info next week.
NSFW, finished commission of one of my characters, Bouillon*. I’ve never put him in color before so it was neat actually doing that. He sure is hella pink. I imagine his dragon form (which I’ve never drawn) is quite small and pink and a fat. I should draw that sometime.
I thought about censoring this, I don’t know why I’m so blushy about THIS when I’ve posted comic pages with handjobs before :T I’m a silly baby.
*all the characters in the dragon-lady comics are named after food-stuffs. Humans are named after fruit, dragons soup and bread. I DON’T KNOW WHY it just seemed cute and that’s the only reason I need.
Commissioner has an amazing beard and I was obsessing over it. I coulda made it cartoony and spared myself but I loooove hair and his beard is way more amazing than I drew it and that haunted me.
Finished commission of two of my characters flustering Oven’s Balst. I’d like to imagine that before the events of the comic the sisters would be amicable enough to goof around like this. They only conflict now because of their jobs.
NSFW like I said I’m almost done touchin up the colors but I do like the inks a lot so here have a naughty crop :3
All of my commissions but one I’ve been having trouble with (commissioner already knows) are inked and being colored, but I wanted to snap a preview photo of one of the inks. In fact I might post the inks by themselves after I fill in the black areas. I like this.
Also it’s fun to get commissions of my own characters :3
cosuman:
I recently commissioned a Cosmin from Amanda Lafrenais, of Love Me Nice Fame. I really like the soft and tender tones of this, and how friendly and nice he looks, and dug the head and limb design as well, and the way she interpreted his outfit is just wonderful.
One of my regular sketch commissions!
Commissioner liked it, so here’s the full version of that previous preview!
Just a small preview of a commission I sent off. I’ve found this sweet spot with shading, textures and effects that’s REALLY making me happy with my colored line art.
Often when I get a commission without anything specified about the coloring, I’ll use it as an opportunity to practice something I wanna do. In this case, I spent a long time trying to work with the black and white inks to make something that looked like a watercolor. I am pleased.
Finished commission for Miri of her character from Dream Walkers! I had a lot of fun with the hair and fabric because y’all all know I’m bonkers for hair and fabric. And textures.

INTRO:
My car is in the shop again and needs repairs, and I completely rely on my car, and just got it fixed after a minor accident. I do not have enough money in savings to cover this and this is going to affect me very negatively until I can get my car back.

My contact email for this is mandiiv AT gmail DOT com. For more information and past commissions you can browse my commissions tag: http://littlefroggies.tumblr.com/tagged/commissions
And normally I’d never even suggest it because it feels like begging and it’s embarrassing, but I do have donation buttons on my blog and website. I’m gonna forget I even mentioned it now and proceed with the rest of this post.
MORE INFO:
The only way I can do this and finish current commissions and new commissions is to stop working on Love Me Nice until this gets resolved, because unfortunately Love Me Nice right now is the thing I don’t get compensated for working on — it’s basically a hobby right now. This has come at a really inopportune time, when I’m working on things that are gonna compensate me LATER (like a kickstarter), but not in the short term, so I’m in a very tight spot.
So I am taking as many commissions as I can right now, but because of time constraints I just can’t offer the promotional $60/$30 for color and inks anymore, it would be more work than would be helpful to intentionally undercharge again. If you already commissioned me but haven’t paid yet, your rate stays the same.
If you’ve already commissioned me, your commissions are still top priority. Otherwise the order is by who pays first.
This is one of the few times I’ll actually ask for reblogs, if y’all could be so kind.
Thank you!
Commission of Shadoweyes from… Shadoweyes! Commissioner knew I’m a big Ross Campbell fan and wanted me to draw Shadoweyes “having fun for once” on the beach… but I knew how she’d really feel about the beach and sunlight, suspending disbelief a bit because that much sun would probably blind her, not make her grouchy, for the sake of a cute drawing.
It was really fun interpreting Shadoweye’s construction into my style… I think I might have depicted musculature that isn’t even there in the process. Hhmm. Well it was fun having a go at!
As usual, my colors started out much darker but the way I tweak colors and textures, everything ended up washed-out and pastel. Everything I color ends up pastel.
