I directly contacted people, and there’s enough room for more people that even if they all say yes, I can take on a few unsolicited contributions easy. I plan for it to be a 2-week guest comic run so I can get a significant amount of work done, since I’m buffer-building and preparing pages (rescanning, fixing lines, drawing backgrounds, getting some characters on-model, redoin speech balloons, etc) for print around December.
So yeah! All I ask is that they be polished and not, like, scribbles. :P
Doodled this as a warm up for some Slipshine pages, trying to pencil and ink something in under 5-10 minutes to set some pace. I work very slowly, but this turned out all right considering I was intentionally rushing it. At the same time this is practice for multiple things. It’s currently the end of August in the current chapter, and that means I get to draw my favorite kind of clothes soon … faaaalll and wwiinnttterr clooottthhheeeessssssss. This doodle I guess is from November, story-wise :U I like November (it are my birfday)
… okay so I just like drawing sweaters (love sweaters) and wanted to draw Claire doing something other than scowling or pouting. So, uh, napping. She naps a lot in her regular clothes, even her heels, because it’s usually on a lunch break or between errands. Also her design has been being tweaked, I don’t know if anyone’s noticed from the sketches and concepts I’ve posted but they’ve shifted a bit since she was last in the comic, and I wanted to draw her face doing different stuff with that in mind.
… i am gonna draw so many sweaters, you don’t understand. I am the overbearingly doting mother of comics and I’ve knitted everyone sweaters with cats on them.

mandiiv: Like I always describe Kelly’s voice as someone curling their pinky around the inside of the corner of their mouth and holding it their while they talk. And her voice is kinda… kinda breathy and high, kinda younger-sounding than she is.
mandiiv: Like, it takes great effort to make noise and enunciate.

mandiiv: Mac’s voice is sorta… sorta a mid-range younger guy voice that sounds mostly “normal” but gets really whiney and cracks when excited or mad or scared

mandiiv: Mac whining is supposed to be a very irritating but distinct thing.
battleholiday: I just hear them as John and Joan Cusack ever since you pointed that out

mandiiv: but her voice is so much higher, like almost childish. It’s a bone of contention with her.

I’ve got a list of people to ask, but I am cool with people offering to contribute a guest comic! I’m sorta leaving it open for people who are interested to pipe up! So yeah, I guess it’s open-call, but I’m also gonna ask some cool bros and cash-in some favors :3
So if anyone wants to, let me know so I can get a figure of how many there may be and if I need to drum up a few more or if I need to cut it down to a specific number.

*edit* dang it, I gave her nubian goat ears instead of regular goat ears. (Don’t ask how I know the difference. It’s just silly.) And dang it, hooves instead of hands! Well, it was from memory… blargh.
